A friend of mine once told me that he believed a man in town was gay, which is absolutely taboo here. He defended his suspicion with, “He holds hands with women.”

Brotherly Love
It’s perfectly normal (and touching!) to see same-sex friends and relatives to show affection in public, but you’ll never see it between sexes.
